We are an approved Training company for Solano County. As of December 1st 2022, we now provide certifications for Contra Costa, San Francisco and Alameda County. We pride ourselves for being a Concealed carry certification company for Northern California since 2010.
Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) training courses
Due to Major Changes and SB2 was signed into law and there is significant changes into the training requirements. Certification class times have drastically changed! Please be aware of the required class times as of January 1st 2024.
Our Fundamental & Intermediate, Tactical Handgun Courses currently meet the CCW certification qualifications for most counties in Northern California. Please visit your local Sheriff's website, listed below for county applications. You are encouraged to double check the current regulations in your county in order to qualify to receive a CCW.

The purpose of this Concealed Handgun Training course is to provide training and education for people intending to use a handgun for self-defense. This course will also offer information critical in making good decisions while carrying a concealed handgun, as well as situational awareness, safety, proper storage of firearms, and other legal considerations.
Students will be required to earn a minimum score of 70% on the written (multiple choice) exam and a minimum score of 70% on the practical shooting test using a standard ICE - Q Target.
Course Length: 16 hour Initial Concealed Carry Certification 8 hour Annual renewal (Every 2 years)
Class time in person from 8 am - 1pm, on the day of class. We will take an hour lunch and reconvene promptly at 2pm until 5pm for the firearms protion of qualification. Sunday's class is in person and starts at 8am.

CCW Renewals:Required every 2 years. To renew your CCW, you will need to attend a 8 - hour legal firearms update refresher course. You have to qualify on each gun you want listed on your CCW Permit. Our 8 - hour renewal course is done in conjunction with our Intermediate Handgun Course. You'll attend the last 5 hours of the morning session and then the 3 hour qualification on the range. Space is limited, so please plan ahead.
There is a 60-day grace period. If you fail to submit your Renewal Application after the 60-day grace period, you will have to start the process over as a New Applicant. Students are Encouraged to start the process 120 days prior to expiration date.
Students must provide their own personal carry firearm and ammunition when attending the range certification protion. Ammo can also be purchased at the range prior to the shooting portion of class. NO FIREARMS OR LIVE AMMO IN CLASSROOM! Students must also utilize an Inside or Outside the Waistband holster for their qualification. A minimum of 2 magazines are required for semiautomatics and a speed loader is required for revolvers.
The possession of a license to carry a concealed weapon is a privilege, not a right, and as such is subject to revocation whenever deemed necessary by either the Sheriff or the California Attorney General's Office.
The authority to carry a concealed weapon (CCW) is set forth in California Penal Code Sections 26150 through 26225. These sections state in part:PC 26150 The Sheriff of a County or PC 26155 The Chief or other head of a municipal police department of any city may issue a license upon:Proof that the applicant is of good moral character,Good cause exists for the issuance,The applicant is a resident of the County/CityThe applicant has completed a course of training as described in 26165May issue that person a license to carry a pistol, revolver, or other firearm capable of being concealed upon the person.

Students will have 30 seconds to fire their 12 rounds at the 3 and 7 yard lines; 45 seconds are allowed at the 15 yard line. The starting position for each distance is “Standing, Holstered.” At each distance reloads are conducted after the first 6 rounds.
If an equipment malfunction is experienced, the student will need to safely clear the problem and continue shooting. If the proper and safe technique is used and the student clears it correctly but runs out of time, they will be allowed to finish the string of fire from the shooting position and allowed 3 seconds for each remaining round. If the malfunction is major, the firearm can be safely cleared and made ready, the student will be permitted to re-shoot the entire course.
The target students will be using is the B-27. The passing score on the test is 80%, 29 out of 36 shots in the 7-ring. All rounds fired must be 100%, within the silhouette target, rounds outside of the silhouette will constitute a course failure, a re-shoot will be allowed.
Three (3) yard line:
Stage 1: Student will shoot six (6) rounds at center mass then reload and fire six (6) rounds strong hand supported. Total of twelve (12) rounds fired per firearm. This course of fire has a thirty (30) second time limit.
Seven (7) yard line:
Stage 2: Student will shoot six (6) rounds center mass strong hand supported. Reload and fire six (6) additional rounds at center mass strong hand un-supported. Total of twelve (12) rounds fired per firearm. This course of fire has a thirty (30) second time limit.
Scoring:
“Hits” that fall on the line that defines the 5 - ring will count toward your score. One point is deducted from your score for each round you fire after the allotted time.
Targets will be scored immediately following completion of the course. Should a student fail, they will be permitted a second chance that day. (Failure upon retesting constitutes course failure, and student will be required to enroll in and complete another 4 hour CCW Certification course in order to qualify for further testing. "The student may not have to attend the class time, but they have to attend the 3 hour range time.")
You are permitted to have up to three (3) firearms listed on your permit. You must pass this examination with each firearms to be listed on your permit. Contra Costa County ma list only (2) firearms. Contra Costa applicants can not list 1911's or Single action only Semi automatic firearms.

16 Hour Initial CCW Certification
As of January 1st 2024, students have to attend a 16 hour certification course. Our course is a combination of Basic Firearms training class via Zoom on Thursday and Friday from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm, the week of class and a full day of in person training.
If you are qualifying for Solano County, please make sure you have received a confirmation from the Sherriff's office clearing you, prior to attending a class. (Certifications prior to clearance will not be valid when submitted to the Sheriff.
Students must attend the entire class time and renge qualification. A qualifying shooting score of 85% on a 12 inch target is required to pass the shooting protion or certification.

Ammo only
Range ammunition for your personal firearm. All ammo must be used on the range. Ammo is sold per box. It is recommended that all student have at least 2 boxes per caliber in order to complete their firearm training.

8 Hour CCW Renewal
Required every 2 years. To renew your CCW, you will need to attend a 5-hour legal firearms update refresher course. You have to qualify on each gun you want listed on your CCW Permit. Our 5-hour renewal course is done in conjunction with our Intermediate Handgun Course. You'll attend the 5 hour morning session and then the 3 hour qualification on the range. Space is limited, so please plan ahead.
8 Hour Renewal $275
Firearm add on
You may add on or change your preferred carry firearm. You must qualify with all firearms that you are wanting to carry. You only need to attend the 3 hour qualification on the range. (Not required for initial or renewal certifications.)
